We are an immigrant founded company with the goal to help immigrants establish clarity and reduce uncertainty during immigration process. We use data and algorithms to predict case decision timeline. We provide following services.
Current services
- USCIS Case Prdictions - These provide you estimated case decision date and expected future milestones and dates along with analytics.
- EB Green Card Predictions - For backlogged EB candidates these provide a data driven prediction of best, worst, and average case time to GC decision.
- News/Tips/Alerts/Updates/Discussions/Visa Bulletins - Some of these are completely free and do not need a subscription.
History - WhereismyGC started in October 2010 as a free immigration blog called Q's Immigration Blog. The original blog is still free and is arguably the most followed immigration blog for employment based categories. Q found it overwhelming to provide individual forecast to hundreds if not thousands of requests that came his way. That's how he thought of codifying all his knowledge and methodology into an automated forecasting service. This service was launched in Mar 2012 and is operational since helping thousands of backlogged EB applicants.
Past services - In Dec 2020, we lauched an experimental stocks alert service. It provided high risk high reward short term swing trade ideas and generated 6X returns during 2021 relative to SPY index. However, we have stopped selling it for new customers, because we found that the service is not scalable yet (in other words it needs too much effort on our part to maintain the service) which dilutes our focus on WhereismyGC. In future, we might reintroduce this service on its own website if we think we can make the service scalable.
